Ashton Animal Clinic was built and opened in 1993. Two additions followed; the boarding kennel in 1998 and the office/lab in 2003. The finished facility is 8,000 square feet and supports a full service veterinary hospital and boarding kennel that can house 60 cats and 150 dogs. In the event of a hurricane, the clinic is equipped with a generator which powers the entire facility in case of a power outage.
Dr. Laurie Walmsley is a native of Rhode Island. She received her D.V.M. degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 and completed an ECFVG Internship at Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Dr. Walmsley moved to Florida in December, 1989 and has been in private practice since then. Her hobbies include equestrian sports, cooking, and boating.
