Dr. Laurie Walmsley

Dr. Laurie WalmsleyDr. Laurie Walmsley is a native of Rhode Island. She received her D.V.M. degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 and completed an ECFVG Internship at Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Dr. Walmsley moved to Florida in December, 1989 and has been in private practice since then. Her hobbies include equestrian sports, cooking, and boating.

 

 

Donna Defiore

DonnaDonna joined Ashton Animal Clinic in February 2005 as the business office manager Originally from Pennsylvania, Donna has over thirty-five years experience in the accounting and customer service fields. When she is not busy at work, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and playing on her computer.

 

 

 

Leila Cucknell

Leila joined the Asthon Animal Clinic staff in 2004. She started as a kennel team member, then to treatment room technician, and on to the front office. Now as the clinic manager, she enjoys all aspects of Ashton Animal Clinic. She loves her job adn has truley found her "nitche" in life. She is truley proud to be a member of the Ashton Animal Clinic family.

 

 

Cindy Underhill

My name is Cindy Underhill. I began working at Ashton Animal Clinic in the end of January 2009, as a receptionist. Working at a veterinary clinic was very new for me, but I have truly enjoyed getting to know our clients/patients and their owners. In my spare time I like to walk, spend time with my family and reading a good book.

 

 

Dion Genovese

Dion joined Ashton Animal Clinic in September of 2009 as part of the receptionist staff. After 12 years as a client with Ashton with her pet lab Ellie, a career change was in order. Dion loves animals and helping others. In her free time she is a interior designer consultant for a furniture company in Sarasota. She shares her home with her husband Sam, Ellie, and Macy (Boxer Rescue) which she is fostering.

 

 

Kevin Gregory

Keven started working here in September 2008. Keven works in the kennel and is one of our senior kennel members. He enjoys working with the dogs in doggie daycare and giving them extra attention. Kevin was previously in the Army for eight years. He loves to travel, go to the beach, horseback ride, and play the drums.

 

 

 

Mike Heon

Mike joined our family almost a year ago. He works in the kennel and attends school in the eveings. He is a certified firefighter and is currently attending SCTI to get his EMT certification. I share my home in Port Charlotte with my American Eskimo dog.

 

 

 

 

Stefan Campbell

Stef has worked for us for fourteen years. He started out working in the kennel and worked his way to up to a technician. He mostly does appointment with Dr. Laurie, lab work, and medications.

 

 

 

Jim Wade

I'm Mr. Jim. I am the true animal lover. I make it my mission to give each pet special care. I have personally adopted several animals over the years. They are my life. I also enjoy working on cars and fishing. I have been with the Ashton Animal Clinic since July 2008.

 

 

Megan Lynch

Megan started working here in September 2009. She began working with animals in 2004 at a doggie daycare center and at another animal hospital in 2007 before joining the ashton family. Since Megan joined Ashton Animal Clinic we have incorporated a doggie daycare. Megan loves spending her afternoons playing with pups in the puppy playground!

 

 

Jessica Gray

Jessica just joined Ashton Animal Clinic in April 2010. She works in the kennel will all our animals. Jessica thinks it is quite an experience. She enjoys working with the animals and plans to further her career with them.

 

 

 

Amy Swedberg

Hi, my name is Amy Swedberg. I recently moved back from Virginia Beach and joined the Ashton Animal Clinic family. I am learning a lot working here as a receptionist. I grew up here and love our white sandy beaches. In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach, and also playing volleyball. I love meeting all of the animals that come into the clinic.

 

 

Stephenie Scheffer

I joined the Ashton family last May as a receptionist. I previously worked at Ashton as a kennel team member, but had to move out of the area for awhile. I grew up in Pheonix, Arizona with my parents and three brothers. I've always had animals growing up.I currently live with three dogs. I love working with animals and plan on going to school to become a vererinary technician. In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach, drawing, and spending time with my fiance.

 

Daniel Puylara

I joined Ashton Animal Clinic in August 2010. I work in the doggie daycare and kennel and enjoy spending time with the animals. I walk, bathe, feed, and play with the dogs. I enjoy bathing and grooming the dogs, making them clean and looking nice for their owners. I am looking forward to furthering my education and becoming a vet tech. I plan to attend the vet assisting course at the local technical school. Nothing is more rewarding than providing love and care to all animals. As a pet parent myself I provide care to all animals as if they were my own pet.

 

Sarah Hart

I Joined the Ashton family recently in August as a vet tech. I am twenty-two years old and have a nineteen month old son. I grew up on a ranch and love animals. I enjoy being part of the process prolonging animals lives.

 

 

 

Rachel Reisinger

My name is Rachel Reisinger and I attend Riverview Highschool as a senior. I took part in one year at Sarasota County Technical Institute studying bussiness in the administrative assistant field. I was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida. In my spare time I love to play with my cat and spend time wiht friends. I enjoy working at Ashton Animal Clinic because it is a fun and rewarding environment to take care of family pets.
